I was born in Guyana and moved to New York at the age of nine. I attend Leon M Goldstein High School for the Sciences. Over the course of a demanding high school journey, my main field of focus has been computer science. At Premier Chess, I plan to utilize my prior skills from programming to amplify new skills in the areas of web, graphics, social media, and photography.
I joined Premier Chess in hopes of unlocking new passions/interests, developing a new hobby, chess, and working in a team environment. As college applications and scholarships become more competitive, a high GPA is no longer enough. This internship allows high schoolers to engage in some level of community service which may look good on a college resume.
