Bronx/Westchester Instructor Jose Leon is a Class A player with a peak rating of 1862. He has been working with kids of all ages in New York Metropolitan Area for almost 22 years. He has taught chess for about 14 years and enjoys seeing his students develop and grow as chess players and individuals. His passion is helping chess players of all levels improve and establish a path to success over the board and in life.
His chess career highlights include winning first place in CCFC Saturday Quad in July 2022 and tying for 1st place in Kings County G/25 tournament in October 2019 (ran by our 110th Podcast Guest Tyrell Harriott).
