David Pozo
Our Team
Bronx/Upper Manhattan Instructor David Pozo has been teaching chess for several years and is an alumni of Chess in the Schools. He is an active player who is rapidly improving himself and enjoys sharing his experiences with students. His chess career highlights include tying for first place in the December 2022 Marshall Chess Club U-2000 tournament, tying for second place in the May 2021 Marshall Chess Club G/50 Open and tying for second place in the 2020 New York City High School Championship U-1900 section.
Outside of chess, David Pozo is a Computer Science major at Manhattan College, where he serves as the Baseball Student Head Manager.
