Spring Classes at ZPlay on the Upper West Side, March 8- May 24:

(No Class on 4/14 and 4/21)

Who: All Children, Ages 5-13: 

-Beginners, Tuesdays, 4:00 PM-5:00 PM:

-For children  with little to no chess experience
-We will teach the rules and basic strategy and will prepare students to compete in tournaments.

Advanced, Tuesdays, 5:00 PM-6:00 PM:

-For children who have taken chess in schools and/or have played tournaments
-We will cater to students rated up to 1000
– We will teach opening ideas, middlegame themes, fundamental endgames and give students the ability to review their own games.

Why:
• Benjamin Franklin once said “Failing to Plan is Planning to Fail.” Chess will help you think strategically!
• Chess is also great way to meet new friends. Premier Chess CEO’s National Master Evan Rabin has played chess in 9 different countries and has connections literally around the world through the game!
• Classes will maintain 10-1 student-teacher ratio; we will add instructors as neeeded.
