Spring 2022 Virtual Group Classes for All Ages and Skill Levels

All classes will maintain 8-1 student teacher ratio; we will add instructors as needed.

Classes use combination of Zoom and Lichess.org.       

1) Youth Rookie

-Led by National Expert Brian Wilmeth, Director of Virtual Programs

-Mondays, 4:00 PM- 5:00 PM EST

-Open to Students in Grades PreK-12 with little to no chess experience.

2) Youth  Novice:

-Led by Brian Aiken

Tuesdays , 4:00 PM- 5:00 PM EST

-Open to Students in Grades K-12, Rated Under 600

May 10- June 28 

3) Youth  Intermediate:

-Led by Candidate Master Danilo Cuellar

Thursdays , 4:00 PM- 5:00 PM EST

-Open to Students in Grades K-12, Rated 600-1000

May 12- June 30

4) Youth Advanced:

-Led by Candidate Master Danilo Cuellar

Wednesdays, 4:00 PM-5:00 PM EST

-Open to Students in Grades K-12, Rated 1000-1600

5) Homeschoolers Class: 

-New Class for Spring

-Led by Candidate Master Danilo Cuellar

-Wednesdays, 12:00 PM- 1:00 PM EST

-Caters to homeschool students but open to all in grades PreK-12

6) Youth Future Masters Class:

-New Class for Spring

-Fridays, 4:00 PM- 5:00 PM EST

-Caters to Students in Grades PreK-12, Rated 1400-1800

7) Youth Weekend Level 1:

Open to Students in Grades PreK -12, Rated Under 1000]

8) Youth Weekend Level 2:

-Sundays from 5:00 PM- 6:00 PM EST

Open to Students in Grades PreK -12, Rated 1000+

9) Adult Rookie Class:

-Led by National Master Evan Rabin, CEO

-Sundays from 8:00 PM- 9:00 PM EST

-Open to to All Adults with little to no chess experience.

10) Adult Beginner Class

-Led by Candidate Master Danilo Cuellar

-Mondays from 7:00 PM- 8:00 PM EST

-Open to All Adults Rated U1200

10) Adult Intermediate Class:

-Led by National Master Evan Rabin, CEO

-Mondays from 8:15 PM- 9:15 PM EST

-Open to All Adults Rated 1200-1800

11) Adult Advanced Class:

-Will be Taught by Grandmaster Mark Paragua, who was once ranked in the world’s top 100 rated players and qualified for the 2005 World Cup

-Open to All Adults Rated 1800+

-Tuesdays from 8:15 PM- 9:15 PM EST

May 10- June 28 

12) Seniors Class 

-Led by National Master Evan Rabin, CEO

-Open to players of all levels, aged 65 and up.

-Thursdays from 1:00 to 2:00 PM

May 12- June 30

Classes will incorporate live lecturestournament-style gamessocial opportunitiespuzzle competitions and more.

***Ratings listed for each section are guidelines based on US CHESS ratings; they are not exactly requirements, especially as we know a majority of players have not played rated tournaments in several months and have been learning a lot and playing a substantial amount lichess.org, chess.com,  chesskid.com, and other sites**

Costs:
-$240/class/ 8-week session

*One can use promo code “2classes” for 10% off if signing up for 2 classes and “3classes” for 20% if signing up for 3 or more classes.

*Parents can use promo code “siblings” for 10% off if signing up 2 more kids.
